Working as a busy GP in one of Britain’s most deprived areas for over 20 years has shown me the importance of nutrition in health. It is clear that most of the chronic diseases we see have their basis in poor nutrition.

Investigating how to improve this nutrition has led me to working with some of the world’s foremost experts in nutrition. The results of years of research has shown that the most important nutritional factor is omega balance. Having optimal omega-3 levels while reducing omega-6 intake would have a massive effect on the health of our nation. The ideal omega balance is available and achievable for everyone, it just requires information on omega status and a plan to improve this.

Working with Professor Bill Lands from Mitchigan University and Professor Gordon Bell from Stirling University, we at Glasgow Health Solutions have created the IdealOmega3 Test which is a blood test available to everyone. This test gives a measurement of omega-3 status and is the starting point for optimal health. We have also developed the IdealOmega3 Plan which is a simple lifestyle based plan to achieve optimal omega status. We are very excited about the possibilities of bringing this to the world.
